Yoga, Music & Movement - Lucerne

Age group3-6 years

This active 45-minute class gives children the opportunity to learn skills related to:

  • rhythm
  • dance
  • creative storytelling
  • meditation & calming techniques
  • yoga poses
  • spoken English

We offer structured lesson plans focusing on key physical skills and co-ordination as well as the opportunity to explore relaxation techniques and meditation. Classes focus on developing children’s gross motor skills through yoga poses, dance and balance as well as building on other key skills such as confidence, communication, creativity and social development as we create yoga stories, enjoy challenges and play games. New songs and poses are introduced over each week building on the child’s previous knowledge and skills.

What do I need to bring?

Your child will need:

  • comfortable clothes that allow them to wiggle and bend
  • a water bottle

Do I need to stay?

Young children need lots of love and care as well as help with bathroom visits and cuddles if they bump their head. For this reason we ask that adults responsible for the children attending the class stay outside the class door. You are invited to rest on chairs directly outside the room to down and relax for 45 minutes. Younger siblings are welcome to stay and play too.

Can I trial the class first?

My 4yr old joins the weekly music, movement and yoga classes and absolutely loves them. We have tried MANY other classes from yoga to football to art and he has always wandered off or been easily distracted and wanting to leave but he absolutely loves this class and looks forward to it each week and stays inside the whole time. Cassie is a lovely teacher and really knows how to entertain and engage little ones and boost their confidence.
